These cycles have specially been designed and developed as a mark of respect on this momentous occasion and are placed for visitors to ride to and fro in the city during the week-long celebrations.

A total number of 12 schools participated in the competition. The jury to judge the competition included Dinesh Kapila, a National trainer from JCI India, and Varinder Datta, Faculty at Ludhiana Chapter of ICAI for Category I and Ms. Balwinder Kaur Brar, Asstt. Prof. in English Partap College of Education, Ludhiana and Ms. Baishakhi Banerjee, also an Asstt. Prof. in English Partap College of Education, Ludhiana for Category II.

Floods and excessive humidity increases the chance of snake bites, so weed and grass nearby the shed should be cut. In flood like situations, keep in mind the area where animals are to be shifted. Calves or small animals need special care. The poor conditioned old/temporary/sheds should be avoided to house the animals in this season. The information was shared by Dr. D S Malik, HoD Livestock Production and Management of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana. The chances of stray voltage during rainy season in animal sheds are common. The most common signs of exposure to stray voltage may be – restlessness and decreased feed water intake. Check the roofs and surroundings for seepage of rain water in the shed. Keep floor of the shed dry and clean to prevent skin diseases and environmental Mastitis.

Ludhiana, August 19, 2019 (Akash Sharma): The Council of the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) conducted Regional Level Swimming Competition for the students of ICSE schools at Sat Paul Mittal School on 19th August, 2019. Gurpreet Kaur, Head, Senior School extended a warm welcome to the participants and the officials. 127 participants competed in different categories in various events in Senior, Junior and Sub- Junior (Boys and Girls) Categories, respectively. The participants showcased their swimming skills and techniques with immense enthusiasm. Sister Stella Maria, Principal of St. Mary Convent School, Jalandhar was the observer of the event. The Chief Guest of the day Bhupinder Gogia, Principal, Sat Paul Mittal School was impressed by the agility, endurance and fervor displayed by the participants. She congratulated and applauded the winners along with the other participants for their sportive feats and suggested the children for more participation to ensure a complete growth of mind and body.
