Amritsar, April 06, 2024 (Nannu Studio): A Media Interaction Meet & Team Orientation was held by FLO Amritsar Chapter at Festyn Era. Dr Simarpreet Sandhu Chairperson FICCI FLO Amritsar Chapter for the year 2024-25 shared insights into Collective Vision & Collaborative Action to #EmpowerHer for the upcoming Seventh year with the media fraternity and announced social outreach initiatives & series of campaigns focusing on health and women empowerment.
She elaborated on the tools and resources planned by FLO to make women more self-reliant. Empowering women to thrive, FLO Amritsar Chapter envisions a society where every woman has the opportunities, support, and resources to achieve her full potential. In our vision, we see women not only as beneficiaries but as powerful agents of change. We strive to foster a world where women are empowered economically, socially, and politically. By promoting education, breaking stereotypes, and addressing systemic challenges, we aim to create an environment where every woman can pursue her dreams without limitations.
We envision women leading in various fields, influencing policies, and shaping a future where equal opportunities are a reality said Dr Simarpreet Sandhu.
The newly appointed Core Committee members Mona Singh Senior Vice-Chairperson and Tannya Khanna Vice Chairperson elaborated on the various initiatives and verticals like digital and financial literacy, rural livelihood, startups and msme and revival of phulkari, baag and dying embroidery styles. They further informed that the initiatives were planned not only for the FLO members but for women at large including subaltern women.
Also present were Drishti Khurana Treasurer, Arveena Soni Joint Treasurer and Raminder Grover Co- joint Treasurer.
The press meet was followed by the meeting of Past Chair Council of FLO Amritsar Chapter. Past Chairs Gowri Bansal, Arushi Verma, Meeta Mehra, Manjot Dhillon & Shikha Sareen conducted an Orientation Session for the newly inducted Executive Committee Members.
