Disabled artists enthralled audience with their stunt and fashion show

: Internationally acclaimed NGO – Udaipur based Narayan Seva Sansthan (NSS) organised its Divya Heros – 2023, a Narayan Divyang Talent and Fashion Show at Tagore Theater, Sector 18 on Sunday. These artists lost their limbs and were empowered with artificial limbs and were full of enthusiasm in their presentations.

The Chief Guests on the occasion, Commissioner of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, Anandita Mitra (IAS) and ITBP’s IG Ishwar Singh Duhan (IPS) encouraged these artists. Prashant Aggarwal, President, NSS, warmly welcomed the dignitaries and the donors of the institute in Mewari tradition.

The show started with a mesmerizing rendition of Hanuman Chalisa by lighting the lamp followed by patriotic presentation by Jagdish Patel and Kamlesh Patel who climbed up to 10 feet pole to unfurl the tricolor. Folk dance – Bhavai enthralled audiences with Rajasthani flavor. Thereafter, these artists performed Shivbhakti giving unique messages of Shivkripa in the holy month of Sawan. Stunts, devotional, fashion show and patriotism performances provided a complete package to the present audiences.

These artists participating in this show have benefited from surgeries and artificial limbs at the institute. Later, they became self-sufficient by getting training for mobile, computer, sewing and designing in the institute itself.

Anindita Mitra and Ishwar Singh in their addresses said these artists are self determined and will continue to inspire society. They appreciated the NSS for their contribution for uplifting the deprived section of the society. The management of the NSS also honoured the donors of the Institute who made this event possible.
