|Mohit Mallik as music sensation Sikander in Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala on Star Plus|
Jalandhar, March 21, 2018 (Akash Sharma): He is known for turning heads with his rugged looks and courageous stunts in the past. Mohit Malik who has made a comeback on television with Star Plus’ ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ as a rockstar thinks that Marathi actors are more honest to their own craft as compared with any other region.
According to him, “I am married to a Maharashtrian and have been watching a lot of Marathi cinema and shows. Marathi actors like Atul Kulkarni, Makarand Deshpande are some of the finest in the industry and as an actor I look up to them.”
Mohit has been learning Punjabi for his role and has also been watching a lot of regional cinema as a part of his training. He shared, “When you are close to your own language you are more attached to your craft and better connected to your roots. I think that is what works so well for these actors and I am glad the audience appreciate them for this. A lot of our Hindi actors cannot compete with these artists.”
