Jalandhar, February 21, 2018 (Akash Sharma): Actress Aditi Rathore who is currently seen donning the role of Avni / Nilanjana in STAR Plus’ daily Naamkarann shared that she is not keen on working for the big screen at the moment. She says she always had a desire to do something big on the small screen.

"I like TV more right now. I want to play good characters so that people remember them forever. It's not my aim to do films. I always wanted to do something big on the small screen, play powerful characters," Aditi shared.

Talking about her first show as the lead actress, she adds, "When you play a lead role and the story revolves around you, then the responsibility grows. You have to give more time and dedication to it. I try to present my character in the best way possible and in a natural way. We generally work for 30 or 31 days. The shift is for 12 hours or sometimes more, but we chose this."

As per the current track of the show, Naamkarann has taken a leap of 10 years where Avni and Neil are separated from each other. Leaving her past behind, Avni will lead a new life as Nilanjana. Her new look is inspired from Deepika Padukone’s look in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. “My new look is young and simple. I will no longer wear sarees and will be wearing western outfits and a pair of spectacles.”

We can’t wait to know if Avni and Neil will re-unite again, can we?
