Well, not many know that this SOTY director has been a bright student ever since his childhood days but choose to follow his creative side and become a Bollywood filmmaker. While shooting for a recent episode of India’s Next Superstars, Karan Johar shared a personal story of his college days, he said, “I am a student from HR college, and I have always been a front bencher since my school days. When I chose to enter Bollywood and explore my creative side, my teachers were very confused about my career choices as none of them expected to take such a decision.”

Well, we can only thank KJo for taking this decision and making us fall in love with his films every single time!

Jalandhar, February 12, 2018 (Akash Sharma): STAR Plus’ show India’s Next Superstars recently got veteran director Mahesh Bhatt on board to share his years of experience and impart knowledge amongst the contestants of the show. Excited about this association, Mr. Bhatt can’t wait to see their journeys outside the competition.

Roped in as the new principal, Mahesh Bhatt will be seen in the Superstars Ki Paathshaala challenging the contestants will tasks every week. With the promising new promo, looks like he’s here for some serious business. He recently shot for his first episode in the academy where he mingled and shared a heartfelt message for them, “You need a strong heart to perform as the world is full of spectators. I want to have a life-long connect with each one of you and see how you people shine in the real world.”

Looks like the Superstars of Tomorrow are in for some treat with Mahesh Bhatt as their new mentor!

The man who changed the face of Action and Comedy in the entertainment industry, Rohit Shetty, said that in his initial days he was the spot boy to Superstars Tabu and Kajol. While judging his reality show, India’s Next Superstars, he shared why he is so grounded and humble towards people who work under him. He said, “When Tabu was filming for Haqeeqat, it was me who would iron her sarees and I was shooting with Kajol, I made her hair for an entire schedule. I know how difficult that job is that’s why I respect my spot boy the most.”

He adds, “When you’re in power what makes you a better person is how you treat people who are below you. They’ve seen you at your worse and still stand by you through your thick and thin, we must treasure them.”

Now we know where the big man gets his modesty from.

Jalandhar, February 08, 2018 (Akash Sharma): STAR Plus’ talent based reality show, India’s Next Superstars is leaving no stone unturned in giving the best of the best training to its contestants. With Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty as the judges, Mukesh Chhabra as their acting coach, Puneet Pathak as their choreographer, the team recently roped in Director Mahesh Bhatt for a special session. An addition to this list, the team has now got Mickey Mehta on board to hone the contestant’s personalities.

As promised, the show is going all out to being the next Superstars of the country. The makers of the show have roped Mr. Mickey to work towards building the contestants personalities. Excited about his association, Mickey says, “I’m really excited to be a part of the show as the wellness guru. All the contestants are young, energetic and talented, I hope to bring out their best personalities through my activities.”

Mickey shot for the first episode today and will be seen as a part of Superstars Ki Paathshala in the coming week.

While shooting for a recent episode of India’s Next Superstars, contestant Natasha proposed to her mother for Valentine’s Day as she’s made ample sacrifices to raise her princess. When asked about his Valentine, Karan Johar said, “There’s only one person whom I have been in love with from childhood. It is my mother and she’s my lifelong valentine. She’s the only person I wish and spend my entire day with on Valentine’s Day.”

Jalandhar, February 06, 2018 (Akash Sharma): Star Plus’ show India’s Next Superstars has been anchor to your weekend entertainment ever since its inception, with Bollywood’s biggest directors Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty roped in to be the judges on the show.

While the show can’t go wrong with the making of a superstar with two biggest directors, the third veteran in from the industry has been roped in to personally mentor the contestants on board! Bollywood’s veteran director, Mahesh Bhatt, who gave us movies like Ashiqui, Raaz and many more, had established his roots on the television too with show like Naamkarann hitting the top charts. While the director has a knack for new talent, he has been personally roped in to mentor the contestants! The director will be throwing in a challenge for the contestants over the week, basis which they will be judged to be in the spotlight round, where they will get a chance to outshine others!

Having worked with Ajay Devgn, Shahrukh, Kajol, he expressed his desire to work with Govinda in the near future while shooting for an episode of his television reality show, India’s Next Superstars.

The game of comedy in the entertainment industry has changed recently, thanks to Rohit Shetty and team and his films like All The Best, Golmaal Franchise etc. While judging a comedy act on the show, he voiced his desire to work with the Master of Comedy Govinda. He said, “Comedy is the most difficult genre to pull as an actor. You either make the audience laugh or you make them question you as an actor.”

Applauding contestant Shruti Sharma’s performance, he adds, “There are very few actors who can do comedy like Juhi, Kajol, Deepika and ofcourse, one of the finest comedy actors is Govinda. He takes the scene to another level and has set a benchmark. I really liked your act, keep it up.”

While reliving his childhood days, he refreshed a lot of memories in everyone’s mind including his co judge, Rohit Shetty.

Speaking about childhood, Rohit revealed an interesting secret on the sets of India’s Next Superstars, about Karan Johar. The Golmaal director revealed that he had once read in an interview that Dafli Wale was Karan Johar’s favourite song as a child and that whenever he heard it, he would start dancing! While Karan has always been a colourful person and full of life, he always shakes a leg whenever an interesting song comes up even today! So to refresh his childhood memories and to live by his most entertaining person tag, Karan sportingly danced on Dafli Wale song along with Rithvik Dhanjani and entertained the audience like a true sport!

Jalandhar, February 05, 2018 (Akash Sharma): While STAR Plus’ show India’s Next Superstars is gripping the audience with the acts contestants perform, their training in the academy, Superstars Ki Pathshala is also the intriguing part of their journey to stardom.

Speaking of Superstars, Bollywood’s handsome hunk, Karthik Aryan who has recently gained the limelight in the industry with his movies of Pyaar Ka Punchnama franchise and his upcoming movie, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, says he has a certain relatability factor with the contestants of the show. Just like the contestants of the show, he also started afresh in the industry, with the tagline Na Khandaan Na Sifarish where he made it big solely on his talent and his director’s ability to see through his capabilities.

He mentioned, “I relate a lot to you guys because just like you, I started afresh in this industry and with a new director and a new team. When Pyaar Ka Punchnama came, nobody knew about it, but today it’s a brand and I’m grateful to my director for recognising my true ability”

He also gave some first-hand tips and motivation to the newbie actors that no work is small or big, it’s just the matter of the right person recognizing your true ability. In their case its Bollywood's biggest directors so make the most of the opportunity. He ended the conversation with the most motivational line he said to himself every morning, “Keep believing in yourself”
